There is every reason to believe future generations of Iranian innovators could help lead a new era of scientific and economic cooperation in the Middle East.
Peace would not erase the past. Decades of violence, incitement, and mistrust cannot disappear overnight.
But the best response to a politics of destruction is a politics of construction.
