Gaza Support Update/ In coordination with the IGSC, the United Nations, and international partners, #Israeli govt. Agency,
has advanced a winterization plan focused on tents, shelter materials, winter clothing, and improvements in the WASH and health sectors. Since the plan’s launch, more than 71,000 tents have been coordinated for entry (over 8,000 in the past week alone), along with more than 7,300 trucks carrying clothing, blankets, sanitation supplies, and medical equipment. WASH: Efforts continue to strengthen infrastructure, including sewage drainage and water network repairs. In the past week, eight sewage vacuum trucks were approved for the ICRC, drainage operations were conducted in displacement camps, network maintenance was performed, and substantial sanitation supplies entered. Health: Over the past week, 7,500 tetanus vaccine doses (UNICEF) and three mobile clinics (IMC) were approved, together with medical equipment, fuel, and engine oil for UN and international organization facilities. To date, more than 700 requests covering tens of thousands of trucks have been approved. Approximately 380 of these (54%) have not yet resulted in the entry of supplies. COGAT continues to process requests promptly and works with the UN and international partners to sustain current humanitarian conditions and advance winter preparations, while taking measures to prevent Hamas from seizing control of aid and essential supplies.
